Five years ago, in a sea of profiles, emojis and half hellos-hearted that make up online dating, Derrick and Carrie were both looking for something real. Derrick a thinker, giver, a man who loved deeply but wisely. Faithful, compassionate, and fiercely protective of the people he loved, he wanted someone to build a future with-someone who could be his partner in love, life and laughter. He was into trying new foods, discussing big dreams, and secretly believing he might one day master karaoke (even if he was "not good at it"). Carrie, was healing, was ready for a fresh start. She wanted a best friend who would want her as much as she wanted them-no games no halfway love. She's an old-fashioned romantic with a modern twist, who loves late-night talks, spontaneous travel adventures, and deep conversations over a glass of wine. She knew exactly what she was looking for: a man with humor, depth and courage to create a life together. Over the next five years they grew together. There were road trips and passport stamps, Sunday dinners with Family, nights of Netflix and laughter, and moments of supporting each other challenges and triumphs. Derrick proved himself the protector and provider he promised to be, while Carrie filled their lives warmth, humor and adventure. Now, as they prepare to marry in September 2025, Derrick and Carrie are ready to turn and begin the rest of their story- a story built on laughter, loyalty, faith, and love that only grows stronger with time.
